Yesterday, we officially flipped the switch on Cavalier and revealed everything that’s been in the works since nearly last February. Most of what you see was completed in the final weeks, although made entirely manageable by months of strategic planning and preparation. We are pretty proud of what we put out yesterday, and excited about the phenomenal reception we received.
For full disclosure, this was no individual effort. This would have not been possible without the help of several very talented folks, and we look forward to introducing them to you in a blog post soon. For now, we’d like to simply recap on what we launched yesterday, and how it all comes together to form a cohesive experience.
1. CAVALIERESSENTIALS.COM
Central to Cavalier is a multi-faceted commerce experience. Using Shopify, our designers and engineers built a design-driven platform with a strong focus on imagery and content. You can now purchase any of our products directly through our online store, and browse through several content areas on the site.

This is our shop page, something that we’re pretty darn proud of. There’s much to be seen on this page, so please, go forth and experience it all for yourself. Visit the shop page.

2. LOOKBOOK
We were very busy in September, October, and November. Weeks and weeks of pre-production, brainstorming, planning, and communication went into what you currently see in our Inaugural Collection Photo Lookbook. Directed by Taylor Pemberton, Produced by John Poisson, and Photographed by Collin Hughes, this lookbook is our very best appropriation of beautiful imagery, stunning product, and hard work.
View the entire lookbook here.

3. VIDEO
To supplement the lookbook we went the extra mile to produce video content, partnering with an amazing video crew that we will rave more about soon. They produced some beautiful motion pictures, supported by a music track produced by a close friend.
In fact the entire production—the styling, the production, the cinematography, and the direction—was created by friends and family. Truly an amazing partnership that will bear more fruit soon.

4. SHOP HOME
As mentioned before, the Shop page is one of our most keynote pages on our website. Jay Schaul and Kevin Harris did some amazing graphic illustrations on this page, featuring hover interactivity and subtle functionality. We like to think of this page as the conversation we’d gladly have if you entered our non-existent physical shop.

This .gif, along with many others, were designed by the Cavalier team. Be sure to watch this page for important updates around seasonal occasions, and important release periods.
5. PRODUCT
Cavalier went from concept to reality with the help of Wantful. We couldn’t think of a better set of people and company to partner with, and through shared interests, we designed and developed a full line of hand-stitched original products and vintage goods. We launched just yesterday with three original hand-stitched leather goods—a leather duffle bag, wallet, and belt.
The Original Cavalier Leather Duffle Bag — $1695
The Original Cavalier Leather Belt - $195
The Original Cavalier Leather Wallet - $295
If you are interested in seeing these products or buying them in person, we are based in Brooklyn, New York.
We also released two stainless steel metal products.
The Engraved Cavalier Flask - $65
The Engraved Cavalier Zippo Lighter - $55
We’ve got a great set of shaving products to match—supplied by Edwin Jagger.
All of our product is available for purchase through our online store, or in our showroom. Please email us if you’d like to come by.

6. THE ONLINE FLEA
This is something that we’re very excited about. We set out by fusing together two of our greatest passions: one-part excursion, and one-part discovery. Some of our strongest memories date back to those childhood expeditions spent in the neighboring woods. The hunt and excitement of seeking, finding, discovering, and learning. The unexplored and uninhibited is rich with stories, past-life, and interesting antiquity. We have now revived this curiosity by bringing together the finest vintage goods under a single online store.
This collection will also update on a periodical basis, featuring new product, collections, and curations.

7. CAVALIER: VOLUME 1
And finally, we wanted to deliver the perfect music collection to supplement the Cavalier Inaugural Collection. This mixtape features some classic and not-so-classic hits, along with album art created by the Cavalier team and available for download.
